2. Description
EUROCAT is a European network of population-based registries for the epidemiologic surveillance of congenital anomalies, which started in 1979. It currently has over 40 member registries in 20 countries covering over a quarter of all births in Europe. Registries use multiple sources of ascertainment to register cases of congenital anomaly among livebirths, fetal deaths from 20 weeks gestational age and terminations of pregnancy for fetal anomaly
