2. Description

Our pharmacoepidemiology unit is part of the Clinical Pharmacology department (UPCET). This unit focused especially on CNS drugs by several focus on Nervous sytem, neurology, Psychiatry and addiction. We are involved in the french network of drug abuse centers connected to the French Drug Agency and are responsible of the Center of drug abuse center in two administrative areas (Provence alpes cotes d'azur and Corsica). We are the main coordinator of the OPPIDUM surveillance programm, providing since 20 years informations related to drug abuse un France. We have conducted several studies using the french prescription database and have developped and validated several proxies of abuse and misuse among this database.
