2. Description
The Respiratory Effectiveness Group is a multi-sponsor, investigator-led, not-for profit initiative that brings together leading academics and clinicians working in real-life respiratory research with a view to unifying methodologies, raising quality standards and addressing unmet research needs for the benefit of patients and practitioners.
REG's collaborators work across all areas of real-life research, both interventional (i.e. pragmatic trials) and non-interventional (i.e. observational) studies, covering epidemiology, comparative effectiveness, effectiveness, validation work pharmacovigilance and beyond.
Through uniting the field's experts, establishing, adopting and promoting quality standards and working collaboratively with guideline bodies and other authorities, REG aims to achieve better integration of real-life data into meaningful clinical practice guidelines for the benefit of all stakeholders (e.g. patients, clinicians, commissioners) within respiratory medicine.
