Hospital Clinic is a tertiary hospital with a consolidated research background within the Spanish public health system. It has the highest impact factor among Spanish medical centres. The Unitat d'Avaluació, Suport i Prevenció (UASP) is formed by the Departments of Clinical Pharmacology and Preventive Medicine, and is integrated by more than forty professionals including clinical pharmacologists, epidemiologists, statisticians, pharmacists, biologists, nurses, and IT personal. UASP is conducting a number of pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology projects involving both the Primary Health Care Area of reference, and the hospital Pharmacy Department.
