The ENCePP working groups are of a temporary nature and the European Medicines Agency and ENCePP Steering Group will decide on a case-by-case basis about their tenure. Ad-hoc task forces and new working groups may be established as appropriate.

With the launch of the ENCePP database of research resources in 2010, the working group "Inventory of EU research centres" had fulfilled its mandate and was therefore closed.
