2. Description

DIMDI (German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information) is an institute within the scope of the ministry of health and dealing with different kind of information on pharmaceuticals and medical devices. We are offering services to the public related to medical knowledge management and are the host of the German Agency for Health technology assessment (DAHTA) as well as the secretariat of the International network of HTA agencies and founding member of the European netowrk of HTA agencies (EUnetHTA). We are also listed as NCA within the EMA and are represented in some TIGs. Our work is very much bridging the area of knowledge and IT related services. We also host the national register of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. In relation to innovation monitoring and HTA and as member of the network EuroScan international we are very much interested in getting better data on daily life data and are doing this in connection and cooperation with our sister institute BfArM.
