The role of the European Medicines Agency (EMA)

The European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP®) has been established by the European Medicines Agency in collaboration with the EU regulatory network as an expert network with the aim to build capacity in the delivery of post-authorisation studies.

The Agency coordinates the ENCePP activities and further development of the network according to its work programme, the implementation of which is overseen by the ENCePP Steering Group and organisational support provided by the ENCePP Secretariat. Collaboration of the network on specific objectives and activities is organised through working groups and special interest groups in line with the Agency’s multi-annual work programme.
